GearBox (Sound and Vision) Limited is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Cardiff, Wales. GearBox South West will be based out of the ITV Wales, Culverhouse Cross site, and will service the Cardiff and Bristol production communities.

GearBox South West will be both a hire and sales office, and promises to deliver the same level of excellent customer service and on-demand 24/7 technical support that the company offers from their other branches: West London, Express in Soho and North in Leeds.

Richard Eastwood, GearBox’s Managing Director, commented: “We have seen a significant growth in business in the South West area in the last three years, and it became obvious to us that to meet this growing demand, a dedicated local office was the only way we could offer the same level of service that we do with our other outlets. The Cardiff and Bristol production communities are world-renowned for producing TV programming of the very highest standard. We are very proud to be opening our South West office and are looking forward to servicing our clients in these areas.”

Andy Clarke, a well-known figure in the Cardiff production community, will manage the GearBox South West office. Andy is returning to Culverhouse Cross where he was previously Technical Manager at HTV Wales.

Richard commented on Andy’s appointment: “We’re very pleased to welcome Andy Clarke on board. His extensive experience in the broadcast production world and his knowledge of the local media creation community made him the obvious choice as the manager of our new South West office.”
