Welcome to the GearBox website. This year we are celebrating our tenth anniversary, and I’m pleased to say that business has never been so good. To date we have invested more than £10m in rental stock, and have attained ‘authorised reseller’ status for many top-brand manufacturers.

On this website you’ll find information on our company’s recent activities; details of our headquarters in West London, further information on our Express office in central London, features on our North operation based in Leeds, our new South West operation in Cardiff and also our latest business venture ‘The White Rooms’, a series of six purpose-built studio suites located within our new company HQ.

When we started GearBox, we made a conscious decision to focus our attention on the broadcast, film, post-production, and professional music production sectors of the creative industry. We knew from our own experience the level of service these facilities provided, and also that if we could match that level of service, we would thrive.

Our first commitment was to provide a genuine 24-hour, seven-days-a-week operation - Hire, Sales and Support.

Our second commitment was to a high level of technical expertise within our organisation. After all, if we didn't understand the equipment we were hiring and selling, how could we possibly guarantee its performance?

Our third commitment was to the quality, and quantity of equipment we made available for hire.

Our fourth commitment was to develop a ‘rapid-response’ transport infrastructure to ensure that all this hi-tech equipment gets to where it really belongs - with you, the customer, in the optimum time possible.

Ten years on, the industry has given us the clearest possible indication that our approach was the right one - Thank you for making our business successful.

I want you to know what we are doing with our profits: In line with the massive shift we are seeing towards high definition production, we are currently investing heavily in a new generation of Sony and Panasonic HD VTRs, we have significantly expanded our stocks of the latest Avid Adrenaline, Digidesign Pro Tools|HD and Apple Final Cut Studio HD non-linear editing systems to meet the ever increasing demand we are seeing in this area, and last year we became the first rental company in the world to be able to offer the new Solid State Logic Duality, C300 and AWS900+ consoles available for hire.

The key point is that we are investing our profits in equipment that can help your business to gain a competitive edge. We truly believe no other organisation can supply such a wide variety of both industry standard, and cutting edge equipment to such a broad range of creative media professionals.
